The Avrom & Bonny Silver z''l Youth Outreach Program
JACS Toronto is a leading educational resource on substance use and mental health in the GTA. As part of our mission, we support schools by providing students in grades 6 through 12, faculty, and parents with education on substance abuse, addiction, mental health, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Through our outreach program, we offer educational workshops for students. These workshops aim to:
- Raise awareness about substance use, behaviours addictions and mental health issues
- Teach strategies for handling peer pressure, social influences, stress, and other challenges
- Support the development of healthy coping skills and resilience
Addiction can be very lonely and isolating. For those struggling, having a place to turn to in a time of need can be life changing. Through the Avrom & Bonny Silver z’’l Youth Outreach Program, we aim to provide a safe space to reach and educate youth in the community, providing them with tools to understand the challenges of addiction. For those needing support, this program, and the team at JACS Toronto, provide the necessary guidance and support to help create a brighter and healthier future for our next generation.
