Rami Elzas

RSSW, (they, them)
Executive Assistant

Rami first stepped through the door at JACS in 2007 after a decade struggling with their own addictions. They celebrated five years of sobriety on December 25, 2024 after yet another decade of going in and out of treatment centres, living on skid row in the Vancouver East side, and fighting for their life.

Rami Graduated with honours from the Community Service Worker Program at George Brown College and received their Registered Social Service Worker designation through The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Their values represent community, sustainability, Trans awareness, and advocacy for human rights. Rami facilitates the Rainbow Group using their experience as a member of the rainbow community. Rami is a vibrant member of the Rainbow Community and was elected 2023 Pride Toronto Sober Ambassador.
