Orit Tordjman is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Orit comes to JACS with years of experience of working in an inpatient treatment facility, where she supported and worked with individuals, families, and couples. Orit believes strongly in Carl Roger’s theory of Client- Centered Therapy and uses it with her clients, utilizing the principles of empathy, and unconditional positive regard, in a judgment free zone. Orit also uses a trauma-informed lens as a tool to be able to tap into the specific needs of each client.
Orit has a passion for working with families who have been impacted by addiction and mental health. Orit specializes in trauma, addictions and mental health, and is working towards her perinatal mental health certification, as well as her Gottman certification. Orit is trained in CRAFT, CBT, DBT and SFBT and other modalities that are used in supporting her clients on a daily basis.
In her role as Client Relations Manager, Orit hopes to be able to build and create connections within the community in order to help people learn about how to access all of the services that JACS offers, including individual counselling and daily support groups. Orit also creates customized professional workshops for organizations, focusing on mental health and addiction.
