Orit Tordjman

Interim Clinical Director


Orit Tordjman is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Orit is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist candidate with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Orit has completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Distinction from Yorkville University, as well as a certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College. Orit comes to JACS with years of experience of working in an inpatient treatment facility, where she supported and worked with individuals, families, and couples. Orit believes strongly in Carl Roger’s theory of Client- Centered Therapy and uses it with her clients, utilizing the principles of empathy, and unconditional positive regard, in a judgment free zone. Orit also uses a trauma-informed lens as a tool to be able to tap into the specific needs of each client.

Orit has a passion for working with families who have been impacted by addiction and mental health. Orit specializes in trauma, addictions and mental health, and is working towards her Gottman certification. Orit is trained in CRAFT, CBT, DBT and SFBT and other modalities that are used in supporting her clients on a daily basis.

In her role as Interim Clinical Director, Orit hopes to be able to build and strengthen connections within the community in order to help people learn about how to access all of the services that JACS offers, including individual counselling and daily support groups.
