Marlee Harendorf is an experienced Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers. Marlee received her Masters of Social Work at Ryerson University where she specialized in addictions and mental health. She is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Certified Partners Trauma Therapist with the International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals.
Marlee specializes in substance addiction, behavioural addictions including sex/relationships and gambling, trauma, and mental health. She provides a warm, non-judgmental, trauma-specific therapy for adolescents, adults and family members. Marlee is experienced using Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. Marlee also has experience working with individuals living with acquired brain injuries and supporting them with psychotherapy.
Marlee initially completed her student practicum at JACS in 2013 and became the Youth Outreach Coordinator in 2015. She has returned to JACS in 2022 as the Behavioural Addictions Manager because she is passionate and committed to the work JACS provides for the community. Marlee believes in supporting those affected by addiction, working with them to build their resilience and begin their healing journey.
