Rami first stepped through the door at JACS in 2007 after a decade struggling with their own addictions. They started this sobriety journey on December 25, 2018, after yet another decade of going in and out of treatment centers, living on skid row in the Vancouver East side, and fighting for their life.  

Rami graduated with honors from the Community Service Worker Program at George Brown College. Their values represent community, sustainability, 2SLGBTQIA+ awareness, and advocacy for human rights. Rami is a vibrant member of the Rainbow Community and was elected 2023 Pride Toronto Sober Ambassador.
