JACS Toronto is an organization that helps individuals in Thornhill, Ontario with post secondary addiction. JACS Toronto provides a variety of services to help those struggling with substance abuse and other addictions. These services include counselling, education and support groups and the Courage 2 Change program.

The first service offered by JACS Toronto is individual counselling sessions for adults who are suffering from addiction or substance abuse issues. During these sessions the counsellor will assess the client’s needs and develop an individualized plan to address their specific situation. The goal of this plan is to provide clients with tools they need to overcome their challenges while also helping them build healthier relationships in their lives so they can move forward positively towards recovery goals such as returning back into school or work settings without fear of relapse or further harm caused by substance use disorder symptoms.

Additionally, JACS Toronto offers educational workshops which focus on topics related to addiction such as understanding triggers for relapse prevention; building positive coping skills; how stress affects our emotions & behaviour; communication techniques etc.. The purpose of these workshops are not only designed around providing knowledge but also creating a safe space where individuals can ask questions about any topic related to mental health & wellness without feeling judged by others present at the session. This allows participants feel more comfortable discussing difficult topics while being surrounded by people who have similar experiences/struggles that may be going through themselves when it comes managing life after high school graduation when faced with potential temptations associated recreational drug use among peers during college years ahead.

Finally, there are weekly support groups available at no cost which offer peer-to-peer emotional guidance within a confidential setting where everyone present has common struggles surrounding postsecondary transition period (i e : anxiety/depression due lack academic success ; difficulty adjusting new environment away home; loneliness) allowing members share stories openly amongst each other facilitate healing process together rather than alone – something invaluable during times distress confusion feelings isolation often accompany transitioning university lifestyle culture norms expectations society today’s world .  All three services provided help ensure anyone dealing any form addition receive necessary resources information needed order make healthy decisions future betterment self loved ones involved involved journey recovery well being overall community Thornhill, Ontario area whole.
