Couples In Recovery
It is not the addiction that defines who we are or the quality of our relationship. An intimate relationship is not automatically healed or begins to flourish when one or both people in the relationship, become sober. Like sobriety, a loving relationship needs to be a daily decision.
Couples In Recovery is for those couples who want to create a great relationship. It is an enjoyable and practical proactive support group. Couples will be expected to commit and participate in weekly activities for group meetings. Though not a 12-step program, it is great addition for those attending one. This group will guide couples who want to learn how to start or renew their relationship.
Topics covered in this support group include the addiction cycle, co-dependency, social stigma, the importance of effective communication, conflict resolution, healthy boundaries, and much more.
There is no cost to attend. This group is facilitated by David Kaufman, Director of Outreach & Education. The Couples In Recovery group runs every Monday evening from 7:30-9:00 pm on ZOOM. For more information and to register, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
